The Pursuit of Happiness - T`was Found in My Boudoir Swap :)

MY first little ray of sunshine arrived as normal each Wednesday morning in the tiny and enchanting shape and form of my darling 18-month-old grandaughter - we`ve had an amazing day together in the sun (Factor 50 applied rigorously). When we got back from Playgroup, the second little ray of sunshine had arrived (I then had to make a quick-smart dash back to Post Office where Postie had left my parcel) in the shape and form of My Boudoir Swap - a trillion thanks, Sharon.

TAH-DAH..................

FIRST to be unwrapped was this beautiful Vintage Box with pretty ribbon.....

.............I knew I was in for a treat when I saw the beautiful tissue wrap with the cutest little labels attached.

Isn`t this just pretty beyond words? She looks so utterly gorgeous surrounded by all those sparkly
jewels....see how they glint in the sun? The card is really special too because it`s a print of peonies which are my favourites so it`s going in a frame.

How about this for a first attempt? Stunning colours and very, very well made - I`ll treasure it forever.

.....and last but definitely not least, the prettiest box of chocs which I am now delving into whilst catching up with the misery that is Eastenders!

I was totally overwhelmed by all of my gifts which Sharon sent me. I really am very lucky to have had yet another great swap partner and to be on the receiving end of Sharon`s great taste and immaculate attention to detail, right down to the pretty little labels she attached to everything with a little message on each one. I don`t want to sound overly gushy but what a treat!

As to the other matter, a gazillion thanks to you Good Ladies of Blogland who very kindly and sweetly left me your gracious and very supportive comments - they really meant a lot. I am very pleased to report that the issues have now been concluded and there will be no further `episodes` of the melancholy which ensued. Sisterhood is alive and well and living in Blogland! Thank Goodness for that:)

Honeybees Are So Uplifting!

After that last post, I thought I`d better publish something a little less depressing so here is a Happy Little Honeybee enjoying one of my peonies!

Things Can Only Get Better

It`s been a rubbish week between one thing and another. I was beginning to think that somebody `up there` didn`t like me, otherwise why would they have thrown everything at me bar the kitchen sink? I won`t bother you with the depressing details because all of it`s fixable - even my sore rib which is steadily getting better; it has to, I really have to go to work tomorrow! There`s just one little thing that I can`t fix and it manifested itself this week in the shape and form of someone from my long ago who is visiting this country from Australia (but whom I disallowed from visiting me for very good reasons). I won`t trouble you with the depressing details about that episode of my life either, suffice to say it threw up all sorts of emotions that I would rather have remained dormant because it`s taken me a long, long time to get over the utter misery and heartbreak (mostly self-inflicted I may add but some people just know what buttons to push and when) of it all so I`ll be glad when it`s tomorrow and I know he has safely left the vicinity and even gladder when it`s next week and he`s left the country!

Have a good week y`all.

First Outing for My Tree Peony

I planted this Tree Peony in the Autumn and this is the very first flower which it has produced this year. Unfortunately at the time of posting, the flower has already gone but next year there will hopefully be more of them!

Buckets of Blooms

I love my garden and here`s the proof that all the time, effort and energy that I used up in preparing, planting and growing was soooo worth it!
