...billowing clouds and pillowslips!
...but don't be fooled by those blue skies, it's still chilly here, considering it's now June 1st, feels more like October and still cold enough for chunky little legs to be wearing woolly tights!
The weekend heralded the start of our little annual arts festival which had some interesting stuff to look at, like....
.....some topless mermaids!
which are perhaps not everyone's cup of tea but I loved them. I just couldn't work out where I would put them if I had bought them - somewhere far out of sight from my Mother, that's for sure!!
....and by complete contrast, one of the local fishermens' churches(all sorts of different venues were chosen for the various exhibitions and entertainments in the festival) was hosting a play about the Paisley Mill Girls (crafters of the infamous Paisley Pattern). I love those little amateur theatricals. Nothing big and showy, just pure entertainment. While I waited for the play to start, I had a browse through some literature which I found lying on the seat next to me......

......and I was quite surprised that I remembered most of the tunes to the hymns inside, a testament to my old school's religious education!
These windows were very interesting in that they were a memoriam to the fishermen who died fighting for their country in the horror that was World War I. They were remembrances for both the Army and Navy.

And that's where I must leave you for now because I have these to get through....
and a few more of these to make...

Happy 1st of June to you all
